FCB's Board of Directors
Kit Migel, President - Kit Migel grew up in rural New York state in a family that enjoyed outdoor activities including both hunting and fishing. His interest in Atlantic Salmon however, was based on the times he was fly fishing in New Brunswick Canada where his parents had a salmon fishing camp. Today Kit and his wife Cass live on the coast of Maine. Their kids and grandchildren are often here and are the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts.
Richard Jagels, Acting VP & Museum director - Richard Jagels, emeritus professor, University of Maine, is a long-time WoodenBoat magazine columnist, and frequent contributor to The American Fly Fisher magazine. Formerly he was the wood analyst in the conservation department of Winterthur Museum and a consultant for the Maine State Museum.
Cass Migel, Treasurer - Cass Migel has been involved with the friends since she and husband Kit migrated to Maine after raising their 3 kids in CT. Adept at baiting hooks, untangling line and releasing other's fish, working with the Friends and helping raise awareness of Atlantic Salmon restoration was a natural fit. A degree in Zoology from UVM helped foster a love of all things in nature. Sailing, kayaking, gardening, and grandchildren round out the picture.

John Weinmann, Secretary - John Weinmann is a retired business person. John's early working years were in sales in the mechanical and electrical power transmission industry. The last 26 years, prior to retirement, were involved in the management of large distribution center operations. Trout fishing with John's father began around the age of eight. Many a worm was drowned. The early lessons evolved into a lifelong love of brook trout fly fishing and fly tying. Along the way John has been involved with fly fishing organizations serving two terms as treasurer of the Penobscot Fly Fishers.
Bill Kuykendall, Media Director - Bill is a retired photojournalist who has worked in Maine, Minnesota, Washington, and West Virginia and has taught at the University of Maine, Missouri School of Journalism and West Virginia University. Bill holds a BA in Zoology from West Virginia Univ. and a MA in Mass Communications from the Univ. of Minnesota. Since retirement Bill has documented the activities of several organizations including the Maine Seacoast Mission, the Penobscot Fly Fishers as well as the Focus Group and Yes & Company Improv Theater Companies.
Bob Milardo, Outreach - Bob is a life long angler and naturalist. He has been actively involved in Atlantic Salmon conservation for over 40 years.
Charles Smith, Charles Smith retired in 2009 after 40 years of teaching and research in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Maine. Seeking an active retirement, he served as a speaker on behalf of the Penobscot River Restoration Project giving presentations at Bangor/Orono area sportsmen shows and to community groups near the Great Works Dam. He joined the Penobscot Fly Fishers Club where he met Dick Jagels. He encouraged him to become a member of the Friends of Craig Brook and to be involved with the Sports Fishing Museum. Having been a collector of antique fishing tackle for nearly 30 years and a founding member of the Old Town Museum (in 1976), it seemed like he could be of service. Soon after joining Friends, he was elected to the Board of Directors where he has been involved with exhibits, acquisitions, outreach activities and finances.
